About ShoppedOut

A small Canadian team helping families spend less on groceries.

Who we are

ShoppedOut is a Saskatchewan family-run project. We're parents and everyday shoppers who got tired of watching our grocery bills climb every month, and of spending our evenings flipping through flyers trying to work out where to shop.

Why we built ShoppedOut

We built ShoppedOut to save families time and money on groceries. Checking every flyer, every week, at every store takes hours, and even then it's hard to know which store is actually cheapest for your whole list once package sizes and sale dates are taken into account. Driving to three stores to chase deals usually costs more in time and gas than it saves.

How it works

ShoppedOut gathers this week's flyer sale prices from grocery stores near you. You build one shopping list and set your location, and we price that list at every nearby store within the distance you choose. Because package sizes differ, every item is compared by unit price, per gram, per millilitre or per item, so a big box and a small box are judged fairly. The result is one clear answer: the store with the lowest total for your whole basket. Read more on our How it works page.

We started in Saskatchewan and now cover grocery stores across Canada. If your area looks thin on data, let us know and we'll prioritize it.
